Tony Abbott to reassure China on investment at crunch trade talks

After deals with Korea and Japan, the PM heads to Beijing to smooth the way for a similar agreement with China

Tony Abbott says he will be at pains to assure the Chinese government that Australias foreign investment regime can work to the mutual benefit of both Canberra and Beijing.

As he prepares for crunch talks in Beijing this week over a free trade pact with Australia's largest trading partner, the prime minister conceded that foreign investment remained a key sticking point in the long-running negotiations .
